Description
I did this painting from a reference photo I took on the Matemateonga track by the Whanganui River. These adorable babies were huddled together for warmth on a branch right at eye level! Perfect! Mum and Dad were close by and keeping an eye on me. I also managed to get great photos of them as well. I love the looseness of this painting. I did a sepia painting first and then overpainted it with colour.
